What shade of OD is on the GMC in the current lead photo? It looks terrific.

As it is a typical ex dutch army dump truck it will be RAL 6014 colour code. This is the standard dutch army paint. For me it is to dark! By the way... the numbers on the hood are not the authentic ones!

This is what Honor Graduate is all about, not only does the soldier excel at exams, (Score OF 0-100, no sliding scale) he is graded separately on attitude, military bearing, and classroom participation. (Score 0-25). In my case, the course was maxed for the first time in the history of the school which traced back to WWII. I even missed a day to perform KP. The reward for the effort was a choice of duty assignment and plenty of weekend passes. The Honor Grad Diploma was presented by an old acquaintance, General Sidney C. Wooten. Glad you asked. :)

Jim is a loyal member of my fan club. Jim is hopefully getting ready to post some good Wood Cargo Body details. Right Jim? I would be willing to pay for a good drawing if at all possible.

Amazing how some of the MV Pubs go out of print, while the hobby goes on. But some were out before the internet caught on. I usually have a nice "The GMC 6X6 a Universal Truck" on hand to shake other rare books loose. I do understand some of the cost entailed in printing books though, and the investment is slow to return.

Getting back on track. Were any of the colors used by the European Armies that recently used the CCKWs, similar to the US shade of WWII OD of that used by the United States?

in the beginning of the lend lease contracts Yes! They even carried the white stars and US reg numbers on the hood in some contries...but in the 50's most of them were repainted in darker green or even gray shades of paint.
Norway, France, the Netherlands and switzerland used them until the 90's! mostly as reserve.

I am familiar with the NATO Gray of the 50s-60s, as that is what we were painting 86th Engineers vehicles. I have contacted Groucho and request information to purchase #803. Many of the CCKWs I purchased from France in the 80s were that color.

The site doesn't list the TM I was talking about...don't no why...but I contacted Rob van Meel and he still has copies of the TM.

Actually it is listed under US of America manuals, then its listed under USA Vehicle Related Manuals....

Even if it wasn't, its still an amazing resource, and offers an additional source to Portrayal Press for manual reprints.

Thanks.
