I took this photo last year at Beltring. I didn't get to talk to the owner and get any interior photos but I talked to his neighbour. He said this unit will also fit in the back of a truck when the trailer is removed. It is covered with fiberglass matting so it is completely weatherproof. A lot of thought went in to this.

Home from Home, and very comfortable no doubt. Hardly living history though. Is that a 502 PIR set up?
I looked at doing the same with an M14 Directors Trailer but the deal fell thro.
So then I had the brilliant idea to copy the Rolling Command Post idea mounted on a Ben Hur, but decided I was too old to fit into a shoe box, even if it did have a veranda.
So I still shack in the back of the jimmy. Old style.

We coverted the back of our 353 to accommodate a double bed running side to side. The bed sits on a platform so as to have storage under the bed. Our floor is covered with indoor/outdoor carpeting (od in color). We use army blankets and try to keep it some what military in appearance.
All the camping stuff can easily be removed in less than a hour. The exterior of the truck remains unchanged. We have had it as a camped for 9 years.
