Ethanol in motor fuel

Hey Guys,
It's my understanding that starting in Feb 2008 all motor fuel will have to have a minimum of 10% Ethanol due to new Federal regulations. Will that be harmful to our 60+ year old WWII MV's?

What's everyone's opinion? Hammerhead

There has been some concern expressed as to its affect on non-metalic parts in the carb and fuel pump i.e rubber

I have a friend in Northern Sweden that has four CCKW's and he has run his vehicles on a mixture of gasoline and alcohol for years. I have never asked him what modifications he had to make. Will email him and ask.

We have added alchohol to our horseless carriages in the USA for 100 years.
Christy Dry Gas has been a part of our gasoline powered vehicles for 75 years. Those of us who grew up in the 30s-50s around automobiles rememember those round Red and White Christy Dry Gas cans with the soda pop lid well, we learned how to use a "church keys" on them.
I have even run on a mixture of alcohol since I was 21.

NASCAR has a good formula for gasoline and alcohol.
The information over here is at hand, a Google will put information overload on your screen.
The army was smart, Diesels were a requirement for all combat vehicles starting in the 60s.
