Hurricans and strange occurances.
Well as we get ready for Rita's landfall, Lt. General Clark, commanding General of 5th Army here at Fort Sam Houston has been named as the relief commander for hurrican Rita. The general in charge in New Orleans is originally from Louisiana. Now General Clark is originally from Texas. The best part of this whole weird mess, my son, the aviation safty officer for the National Guard Bureu in the Pentegon has been chosen as the officer in charge of saftey for the Hurrican Rita relief program and will be sent from Washington DC to San Antonio. I haven't seen my son in 2 years and this is quite a stroke of luck.

Thanks for the sentiment. Just as long as my family and of course my CCKW stay safe. We are OK here in SA, but Houston, 'Galveston and Beaumont Texsa are getting hammered. 20 inches of rain and a 20 foot storm surge. Power out in the whole area.
