Now I just need a CCKW...

Post by Abram J »

Yep, just received my WWII US Infantry Impressions Uniform and gear from At The Front, now I just need a CCKW or GPW to stand in front of! (Owning one would be nice too  [again if anyone knows where I could purchase one for under $4000...])

Now for how it looks on me:

Note, if anyone ever wants to buy WWII gear and doesn't mind it being brand new (made here in the US using original patterns, fabrics, hardware, etc) I highly recommend At The Front's products

Excellent and realistic WWII impression! Be patient and look at a number of sources for a military vehicle. Starting with a jeep might be the best bet at first if only for the SIZE of a CCKW. Storage of my CCKW was a pain for several years until I finally built a garage for it. Sources for a jeep are the MVPA, Military Vehicle Magazine and the G503 website. Eventually if you are able to obtain a CCKW it is an incredably enjoyable vehicle to have. I have two WWII jeeps, a WC-54 ambulance and an April 1944 open cab CCKW and without a doubt my favorite to drive and tinker with is the "Duece"!! :D Good luck and good hunting! Hammerhead
