nice work! your truck tells reveals a lot ya know. One can clearly see where the lube order chart mounted on the rear of the cab..do you have the chart holder? Also, the donkey dick back is still mounted..is this wehre the back mounts or whas it there when you found the truck? Your hood reveals a lot of nice original markings also...NICE TRUCK..keep up the good work....after you get the crops in

Thanks! Yes the lube chart holder was there when we got the truck, but it had collected a lot of lime dust and is a little corroded, and there's the MG bracket on the back of the cab. Are they uncommon pieces? Yeah we only had 3 acres of wheat left before it rained us out last night! We got some aluminum colored paint for the exhaust pipe today, so if it continues to rain we might be able to put that on in the next day or two.

wow..I noticed some typos in my last post. I think somebody reproduces the bag that holds the gas can spout...according to others a metal mounting plate was used to mount the bag and the repops are missing this small detail.
As for the lube chart holders...I dont think they are being reproduc ed for cckws...I "think" the reproduction chart holders used on jeeps are the same size??
maybe others have more information on these.

Yesterday we drove the CCKW out and power washed it down...it needed it (lime dust sure gets everywhere). We needed to clean off the "underbelly" of the cab especially after many years of field use (there was a pretty good layer of slop attached to the bottom of the cab). We also took off the brake lines from the rear end to be replaced, and we are preparing to prime/paint the rear end. Look at the restoration page (address below) of my site to get some info. and see some new pics.! Happy (upcoming) Fourth of July everyone!
