Does anybody have any knowledge or experience of this 1950's Japanese made diesel truck, modelled on the 353 ?

Do we have any Japanese members able to help?

Anything would be of interest.

I agree, that would be an interesting truck to learn about. A photo would be nice to start off with.

In the mid 50's Toyota made these for the American Army serving in Japan and the far east. The "L" model was I believe Left Hand Drive, the others being RHD.

So potentially we have a RHD Diesel 353 !

Isuzu also manufactured a similar looking vehicle but added variations of their own. The Toyota version from what I have seen looked to be an almost exact copy. (I'm still looking for the picture before you ask!)
