M1 Searchlight Trailer...USMC Identification

Off another thread...I recently acquired this trailer. It is in excellent original shape.
It has this on the back on both sides. Would this have been an original stencil setup used by a USMC unit
It was owned for many many years by a old gent in Windham Maine whose neighbor bought it and resold it to me.
