Ringmounts on open cabs

I was wondering about something. 
My April 1944 open cab has the brackets for the "legs" of the ringmount. Did all open cabs have these brackets? Or does it mean mine had a ringmount at sometime in it's service life. I believe I read somewhere that around every third or fourth CCKW had a ringmount installed at the factory. Thanks, Hammerhead
