HOT WATER HEATER KIT

The Kit installed in the Closed Cab makes for a toasty cab. I have had a lot of Veterans day Parades that were cold in the Open Cab, even with this kit. The Cab is warm within 5 minutes of cold start on a 30 degree day.
The bypass system on the CCKW 270 is very efifcient.
Too bad the NOS kits are so rare today. There must have been thousands made. I witnessed a few in fresh surplus CCKWs in the 40s-50s, especially USAF Airfield Tankers.

If you will note on CCKW firewalls, there are apparant locations for heaters that must correspond for the pre war civilian heaters. The GI kit requires new holes. One problem with the GI Closed Cab is that because of military alterations and a deeper glove box, there is no room for defroster ducting.
