CCKW Airborne

Has anyone got any pictures of the 353 Airborne truck. I presume you would have to attach some sort of Jockey wheels to the cab section once split??.I Know a guy in the U.k who has 2 for sale, both very reasonable,one with the Electric brake attachment,which I hadn't seen before.

You are correct in your assumption regarding the jockey wheel, this was part of the kit for the airborne CCKW. Wheels and Tracks No 22 contains an article with excellent pictures if you can locate a copy.

I hate to bring this back up Chappers, but Emile Beckers book on the CCKW has a section on the airborne truck and a photo of the truck sectioned with a support wheel set up behind the cab of the truck. It can be found on page 238
