I just remembered that one of the CCKW's I owned a while back had an engine that was painted that same orange and black.
The truck came from high line electrical company that ran many CCKW's (as well as IHC M-5-6's and Diamond T's) they often bought parts from Memphis Equipment over the years. I know the engine was rebuilt because it had a tag indicating oversize main brgs.
The orange and black must have been a Memphis Equipment "trademark".
The truck went to a new owner in Illinois a couple of years ago.
