Hi Guys,

Yup, another new girlie here. I have a Dodge WC63 and am not a Jimmy owner yet, but it is arriving in 2 weeks :D yippee !!!

I am getting a GMC Workshop to convert into a Clubmobile. Can't wait.

I am a relative newbie to the MV and re-enacting world, only having done a few events this year, but am definately getting into the spirit of things.

Any more girls on here, or is it just me and Bernie?

Don't know much about the vehicles yet, but am learning ... slowly, but still learning. :)

Take care for now,
Cara

Hi and welcome Cara. Its nice to see the women involved. I just wanted to comment on where you live and how I have always wanted to visit. I would love to be able to see the Farnborough air show and then go on to Aldershot and absorb some of the WWII history there. All the best with the Clubmobile.
Cheers,
Barry

Hi Cara,

I would be very interested in following the transformation of your Clubmobile on your website.

It is GREAT to see a woman driving a CCKW. My wife's aunt drove one in WW2

BTW: As some kids of someone on this list call them:

Girlie Man Car

So you are all set!

Welcome aboard and nice to see another lady on board so that is now 3 (if you include Karoshi).

Good luck with the Clubmobile.

Cheers.

That will be about enough out of you with the "Girlie Man Car" baloney Doc....

I hear it from the kids too much and now my wife has started in too....She doesn't get much traction though...as she drives a Mini-Van.

Now Honestly....Does this look like a Girlie Man Car????

Welcome to the site and driving a CCKW. Remember, women were regular truck drivers during WWII and recently I met a young lady that is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force and she drives a 2 1/2 ton at a local air force base.

In addition to driving all my 4X4 and 6X6 MVs and APC, my wife is able to operate Cat D-6 Dozer, Cat 950 Front End loader, and tractor trailer. she also manages a phone company and sells real estate.

Now that is an all around lady. My wife can only drive her 4 Runner and teach school. She has only been in my CCKW once and that was to the service station on a hot day. She said never again as it was too rough, too hot and too high up to get into. :D

My wife regularly drives the 42 GPW to various events towing the 37mm AT gun!

As soon as the K51 panel is done, I will teach her to drive it. Her father drove on in WW2
