I've always been a CCKW guy!

Hello to all you Army truckers. After my wife found the CCKW web site, I was hooked. The site has become my favorite. After a couple of months I decided I better enlist, er I mean sign up.
When I was born back in 1956 (you do the math), we sent a telegram to my father who was at the time running a Cat D-7 Dozer in a combat engineer company. Later when I was about 8 years old he gave me a neat old Army Manual called a TM 9-801. I studied that CCKW manual page after page and heard stories about CCKW's for years.
Started collecting army trucks about 20 years ago. Have owned several CCKW's working my way up from clapped out wreaks on up to a restored one like old dad drove in Korea. We are now driving a CCKW353H1. The ultimate, a GMC Open Cab, Combat Engineer Dump with the M36 ring mount. Split axles and that big sweet winch. She's a 1945 S/N 499 455 H1 (Dutch Rebuild / bringback).
We have some other trucks too, an M35A2, M37(My wifes favorite), M151, and a project M274A2 Mule. Plus the usual trailers etc and a bunch of Army Bicycles.
I've been with the Caterpillar engine organization for many years. Hope I can help you guys. I know I keep learning every day.
