Saints & Soldiers on History Channel

Post by Bill_Wolf »

This Saturday (November 19) at 8 pm Eastern the History Channel will air the movie Saints and Soldiers.

From the History Channel:

Based on actual events during WWII, this award-winning film tells the dramatic story of a small band of Allied soldiers trapped behind enemy lines with information that could save thousands of American lives. Outgunned and ill-equipped, they must now battle a frigid wilderness and roving German troops to smuggle the critical intelligence back to Allied territory and survive the tragic event now known as the Malmedy Massacre. With Corbin Allred, Alexander Polinsky, Kirby Heyborne, Larry Bagby, Peter Asle Holden, and Ethan Vincent. (2003) TVPG V cc

A pretty good movie with some decent HMV stuff. It is worth the watch.

Saw it in the movies.

Mr Bill and I were going to put our HMVs on display at a local movie house to help promite the movie. They were interested, but never followed through as I recall.

I have put together a couple of WWII military vehicle displays for movies, but then our local movie manager transfered to another movie theater across town and the new manager does not want the liability of having something for people to look at outside of the theater. He prefers all things be inside the building. We did that really crummy movie Pearl Harbor and the Nickalas Cage movie about code talkers. Had nice displlays at both. My CCKW, a half track, and a couple of jeeps ( with machine guns of course.)
