SUBDUING REFLECTORS/ LIGHTS

When in combat or blackout condition with WWII MVs, it was common practice to use chassis grease or mud to make the reflectors invisible/non reflective. Sandbags an vegetation were used to cover headlights. The WWII Army did not wait for today's repro dealers to make "booties" to pull over the headlamps. Save that stuff for the dude ranch. OD Duct tape is what todays choice would be. Yes, there were Headlight covers made by support units out of scrap canvas, and some had stock numbers and were contracted.
