Airshow

Post by Bill_Wolf »

I was invited by the local Fighter Group (104FG flying A-10's) to participate in their Celebrate the end of WWII airshow this past weekend.

With the excitement of all the flying I kinda forgot to take pictures of the HMV's. My Ambulance, 2 Jeeps, A CMP, a Halftrack, and a DUKW and lots of Warbirds.

For the lovers of WWII aircraft on this list here are a couple of pics.....

There was a big air show last week-end in Lausanne (Switzerland). Entrance was free and there, were supposed to be 1 "Spitfire", 1 "P4 Corsair", 1 "P51 Mustang", 1 "B25 Mitchell" and even a "B17 flying fortress" !!

I was soooo looking forward to post some pictures over here.

I went twice (on saturday and sunday) and I didn't see the B25 and B17.

Sunday I arrived when the B25 finished it's show. I was waiting for it to land to take some fotos on the ground. It never landed!! It flew away to Geneva because there wasn't enought place for it on Lausanne's tarmac :!:

Never saw the B17 !

Had to take pics from far away of the Spitfire, Mustang and Hurricane.

It was disappointing.

Great photos. Aviation is my love and passion and once I was grounded for health reasons I really had to re-direct my attentions and that was towards military vehicles, especially CCKW's.

Lausanne's air show fotos

Post by Ledog »

Hi !

Here are some photos of the air show I have talked about before.

As they weight too much, I can't post them here. So please see the following link:

I apologize for the bad quality and the distance, but they were very fast!
