BUBBAS BUILD FIGHTING VEHICLES

Post by joel gopan »

Next time you see our fighting men in Iraq, pause a minute, and think about the Humvee you just saw, or that 5 tonand Howitzer etc. Many are fresh from a depot rebuild from right in the middle of nowhere. The Maine National Guard has a rebuild facility that has been setting records for cost effectiveness, and quality, plus doing it cheaper than than the US Army was doing it at Letterkenny. And who is doing it? Bubbas from Maine, National Guard technicians, some of who are just local boys right out of the potato fields who can fix just about anything with a work ethic not parralled by typical clock watching lazy assed civil service employees from the past. In a month or two some of them will get out of work to go into the fields and spend a few hours harvesting Maine potatos for a few hours before getting a little rest and returning to the rebuild shops. Send your CCKW to Maine for a facelift. Speaking of Maine, we got a super bubba businessman who is selling surplus Humvees back to uncle Sam for rebuild.

I love these kind of stories about the National Guard. My son, who is a Chief Warrant Officer 4 and the aviation safty officer for the National Guard Bureau in Washington DC, never stops talking about the professionalism he encounters all across the country in our National Guard.
Cudo's to these bubba's that are keeping our contry safe and free.
