scrounging find
The other day I got permission to clean up some old rims and stuff from a lot in town,I was hoping for some jeep or cckw rims but no such luck, mostly old american car rims, ebay fodder, but while digging through a pile of junk I found a jerry can,it looked strange because it has a zinc coating and only two ears on the lid, after cleaning it up a little I found a 41 date, made by wheeling,I have since been informed it is a rare and desirable can,so keep your eyes open you never know what goodies are still lying around in junk piles. It would be a good can for the 40 gmc.

Hey, great find. I was driving to work one morning when I noticed a jerry can put out for the trash man to pick up with the rest of the guys garbage. I stopped and picked it up. It was a 1944 dated water can is great condition. One persons trash is truly another treasure.
