Recently there has been a release of a lot of 1903A3 Springfield ROTC rifles that are a lot less expensive than a Garand but are totally correct for your CCKw in the rifle rack. Because they are welded up and can not be fired there is no problem with local gun laws or on military bases. A nice Springfield can be bought for around $250.00 and some even less. If one looks closely at original photos you will note that a lot of our soldiers were issued the 03A3 rifles.

Here in Europe you can buy very cheap repro garands instead. They are made in spain by a company named DENIX. I bought mine for 135€. The rifle fits perfectly in my truck's gun rack.

I haven't tried it JeeperFIN. The DENIX stock is made of real wood and looks quite good. I can take some pictures and post them here, if you want.

Chris

I have stock from Danish M1 Garand, Maybe ill try to fit it to Denix.
Carrying "live" weapon in cab nowadays isn´t a good idea

Even old school deactivated guns are almost illegal now....
