Well I am back in the classroom again and it is amazing how much one can forget in 7 months, however things are pretty much the same. As some of you might know, Robert G. Cole High School is located on Fort Sam Houston and all of my students are military dependents. Yesterday the school counselor and an Army chaplain came to my class to get one of my students, a senior. His father had been killed in Afganistan. This has always been the hard part of teaching here.
It tears your heart out to know what these kids go through with deployments and death always lurking in the shadows.
Anyway, life goes on and we will prevail.
God bless our troops and their families.
Jim
