Yes I've seen them and the "bellows " type as well
But I prefer to use the modern replacement style instead.( the method of operation is IMHO more staight forward and more dependable )

I've got a pair NOS of that same style that fit the M8 M20 vehicles ( with the small early style of thermostat housing )but I don't what size the pictured one is
I can't make out the part numbers from your photo either.
