I did the Hanover, PA and Gettysburg, PA Memorial Day Parades on Monday and had lots of fun. The CCKW was a real hit and did well except for the brake line that failed on my way down there this past friday. Words of wisdom... check the rear brake lines that pass through the cross member in between the axles. My bushings in there were worn which allowed the brake line to rub. My bad for not looking but now it has been corrected. I drove over 320 miles this "vacation" with lots of people taking my picture.... ok, pictures of my CCKW.

That is great. It sounds like a lot of fun was had by you and your truck. :D

the looks and questions were coming from all directions. The best is when a tractor trailer pulled up next to me and we had a conversation about the truck face to face

the truck ran at about 51 to 52 lbs of oil pressure and ran 180 degrees on the regular runs, 190 degress on most grades and only 200 degrees on one heck of steep grade but went right back to 180 once we made it up....

I ran at about 98.6 degrees with a BP of 120/80. I appreciated all the veterans, familys and old friends lining the streets, witnessed several TV Cameras taking a lot of footage of the parade, only to watch it on TV and see the usual dog on a leash, kids on parents shoulders, decorated baby carriage, and zip of any of the Bands, Scouts, Color Guards, floats that took kids and parents hours to decorate etc. Same old, same old.
