Fort Sam Houston is safe from BRAC, and in fact they are adding 9000 personel to the fort over the next two years. That means an increase in school enrollment and my job is safe a little while longer. They are closing old Brooks Air Force base, which has been there since 1916 and houses the only WWI hanger in Air Force inventory. They will probably tear it down now and build a halfway house for drug addicts there, as WWI hangers are not in big demand.
