Places of Military interest in the Black Forest of Germany?

Post by Bill_Wolf »

My second weekend in Europe I will be in Sankt Blaisen (Saint Blasien) Germany with little to do.

Are there any places of historic military interest that I should visit in the area?

At these links is generic Black Forest tourist info:

I do not know of any specific World War II sites in the area. The allies (first French army) fought their way through it of course, but the Germans mostly only had the Volkssturm (home guard) left for the area, so the resistance was not so great that mighty battles ensued.
