The GMC CCKW

I dressed my old CCKW up, " Betty Boop" is her name, and we drove around the neighborhood yesterday. My neighbor down the street, a WWII Marine Pacific veteran of Tarawa and Siapan rode in her with me. With my 101st Airborne Flag flying and a 48 star U.S. flag we drove through our neighborhood blowing the horn and occassionaly the sirene . As a lot of our neighbors are retired military personal we were greeted with cheers and waves. We did our part, parked old Betty Boop in front of my house and sat under the big tree in the front yard and drank a oouple of brews and saluted our departed commrades in arms.

It was Monsoon Season here, pouring rain all weekend.

We finally got some thunderstorms late Sunday and it was deeply appreciated as we needed rain badly here.
