Forums speed

Is it just my computer or have the forums been very slow in loading since they where put back up from backup files? If it is slow for everyone, I would hate to see how slow they are on a dial-up connection as I have broadband.

It's not just you,I'm on dialup and somtimes cannot get onto the forums at all

Speed has become an issue with frequent time outs.
I send in between 3 and 4 complaints per day to the hosting company. They say the have rebooted, blah, blah, blah....
Basically they are not interested or can't fix it.
I was hoping that this would wait until after the Weare Rally when I could devote some time to finding a new host who cares. In fact it may have to as I am 100% trying to get ready for the show.
Be patient folks. Maybe the hosting service will come out of the ether and get this corrected. If not we will find someone new after Aug 1.

Take as much time as you need Bill. I was not trying to make any complaints, I was just checking to see if it was just my computer. I know the server companies don't really help much and your mind is on the rally and not the site.

No offense taken Nick...In fact I am glad you and Matt posted. I forwarded a link of this thread directly to the Tech Center (now they hate you as much as me
).
Load times are back to under 2 seconds...how long that will last who knows.
Just wanted to let everyone know that there will be little action until after Weare.

Have a look at my hosting company, never had any problems at all......the their tech support is second to none.

Hi Bill, loading has been slower than ever today with frequent fatal error timeouts even tho'I am on high speed broadband. We are all well aware it is no fault of yours and sympathise with the problems it is causing you after you have put so much time and effort not to mention dollars into the site.

I am still complaining to the server people about this guys.
Obviously the don't give a _____.
The main site seems to be loading quickly, it is just this SQL server that is the problem. I have had a constantly reopened "repair ticket" in with these people for six days now...you would think they would get the hint.
Not much will happen with a move until after the Weare Rally. When I switch, it will be the board and the main site and 4 others that are hosted with this company too.
Can't do it until after I finish playing with my toys!
Thank you in advance for putting up with this for the next 3 weeks.
