As some of you know I was lucky enough to have someone local call me about a WWII Wehrmacht Sd.Ah.25/2 Signal Corps trailer that he was selling.

Having never seen one and with google having no info on them I decided to buy the trailer and save if from the scrap heap. I found this after when searching info on the trailer. It gives a picture of it and its towing vehicle.

Today I decided to pressure wash the trailer. I was interested in removing some of the more modern dull red paint to see the Wehrmacht Camo paint scheme under it so that I could do research on which color to repaint the trailer.

To my very pleasant surprise I found 2 allied Stars under the paint.

My first true ETO combat Veteran. As all my trucks were stateside vehicles this is a great pleasure for me.

Just thought I would share it.

Great find W.N. i do like the idea of using a power washer V sandblasting for the beginning of pant removal, If that trailer could talk it would probably tell of all the beer it cared to the front after being liberated . 8)

Very nice and what a feeling that must be. Something i was hoping to find on my but long long since gone  you can see where another orbital sander has been before, bloomin tome raiders!

What a direct link back to history and what a journey that trailer has been on and glad that it has bumped into you, into safe hands.

Great find Bill,it's always nice to find original markings.

So will you be repainting it in "our" markings or "theirs"??!

Matt.

Great find Bill. Who says Good guys finish last. Not Bill Wolf, thats for sure. I will be anxious to see the finished restored product. I would put it back into German markings.
