I took some of Joel's wisdom to heart and decided to attend to my brakes. What a disaster!! I was very angry at all the issues I found. Shame on me for not noticing some of them when I got it.... while other issues were not exposed until I dug deeper. The previous owner performed a brake job that even a hack would have been ashamed of!! Right now the truck has the whole under carriage removed since things were not up to my standards. The paint may look nice but underneath...well
I was surprised when I removed the intermediate axles -- there were none... just covers with short stubby "ripped" three inch extenstions were the axles once were.... Oh well, better to know I will have a nice clean, properly built truck - below the rails. It pays to have a parts truck!!
