New Wrench

I just saw a new ratchet wrench from Stanley and was impressed enough that I bought it even though I have 3 of the 3/8 ratchet wrenches already.

This one is a fine tooth model but had a unique feature. If you are in a tight spot, you can rotate the handle/lever arm like a screwdriver. You can turn it either way and it will ratchet the socket in the direction set by the normal direction lever. I had never seen anything like this and can see it being quite useful working on these old war horses.

You can buy them at Wal-Mart for $24.88 each in the 3/8" version. They apparently do not have a 1/2" version at this time. I have heard that Husky also makes a similiar one.

Dusclaimer: I have no association with Stanley or Wal-Mart.

The Dr. and I have been discussing this off list.

Husky also makes this. They look so identical...they must be made by the same company.

Both have a lifetime guarantee. Husky can be pruchased at Home Depot(for more money) but can also be exchanged there if damaged Warranty through Stanley is a mail in thing.

Here is the link to the Husky tool. (Model 24903)
