Hey Bill.

That looks stunning, didn't seem to load for me first time round and hats off to you, that the a good enough excuse!

Can you post up some more details of it...when you get five minutes?

Cheers.

Your searchlight looks great, Bill. Is it fully operable?

I highly doubt my searchlight + generator will ever be operable again...

From an independent viewer of the actual unit

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is beautiful! It is rare that you can buy something so far away sight unseen except thru pix and come out like a rose....

Bill really lucked out on this one!

Jack,

As soon as I can get the sun to come out here I will go out and take some close-up photos. They will be on my WWII Fire truck site. I will post the link here when up.

Brian,

It needs a couple of things. The person who was restoring it lost interest in his wheeled WWII vehicle projects and has decided to sell them off to buy a private Airplane. He had a gorgeous DUKW (he sold to someone in Maine) and still has a beautiful Half Track.

The Gen unit is truly "Turn-key". Dr. Deuce came up (so I could gloat) and witnessed the first start. We fiddled with the throttle cable. And turned the key...after 10 seconds she started up....and stalled...no gas....5 gal of gas and she was off again. Ran great and quiet. We did notice it needs and exhaust gasket.

As Dr. Deuce said it is a beautiful piece. Even my wife (who went tactical when I informed her of my purchase 24 hours before arrival) says it looks great. The new living room furniture will be purchased in the next week or so.

Last year I bought a fixer upper Search light. You know one of those "ran when parked" deals. Well I got "hosed" so that will be a long term fix up. I should eventually be able to get it running. But it will require alot of work and $$$$$ That unit is on one of these home made trailers to put all the stuff behind 1 pick up truck. What a mistake.

Again I am excited....Watch for pictures.
