Sadly enough one of the most important military vehicles during WWII and so important to the victories in Europe and the Pacific are too often overlooked by all but us dedicated CCKW and Chevy fans. Jeeps are like puppies, they are cute and people are just drawn to them.
Big trucks are not cute, but vital to the success of our military.

I'm afraid it's rather the same in the UK,most people, whether they are into MV's or not, know what a Jeep is but show them a CCKW or a Diamond T or a British Bedford and it falls into the catagory of "big army truck"!

Maybe we should all get together and produce a CCKW book featuring pictures of collectors trucks,WW2 CCKW photos, wartime GMC adverts,CCKW technical data, production and chassis number info etc. this type of book has been done for Jeep and Dodge but the only CCKW books are the European ones from the 70's and 80's and while these are good they are limited in their content.
