We had a great time at the local VFW hall Monday, Memorial day. I had my CCKW, there was an M-37, M-38A1, A White halftrack and an MB all in line with their M-48 tank in the parking lot. The local VFW had a big BB-Q plate sale going and there were lots of people, American flags flying and war stories. Most of the local are of the Air Force persuasion as we were only 2 miles from Randolph Air Force base. We had a brief ceremony honoring our dead veterans , taps was played , and a prayer was said by the post chaplain for our troops in harms way today.
It was worth the 6 mile drive down there and the 95 degree, 100% humidity day. Thanks to all of our long gone friends, our veterans.
Memorial day fun
