disappointing Mythbusters episode

Post by bobc »

I don't know if the episode I saw the other night was new or not but it was the first time I saw it,it was the snowplow turning over a car myth, they had a very nice open cab LWB with winch, the cab had an artic top with both doors and looked rust free,it still had a bed on it even, the dash was beautiful, everything was intact,it didn't run but thats not important, the front clip was in better shape then anything on my lot,it still had hood sides and a wooden steering wheel,it was bad enough that they used it in thier experiment but then to wantonly destroy it in the end just for fun was too much,I usually enjoy the show but when they start destroying historically important vehicle they have gone too far,if anyone else saw the show and was upset about it please go to thier web site and let them know, hopegully they won't turn into a Monster Garage type show and start destoying savable historic vehicles just to get ratings. I saw the same show last night. I turned the TV off when they destoryed the CCKW. What a waste. They should not have used such an old, brokendown truck for there experiment. That kind of stuff just makes me sick.

Agreed. The problem with these types they don't know history from their breakfast fruit loops. Sad but this is not the first time historical vehicles have been destroyed for the sake of films nor will it be the time.

The episode was yesterday on tv in the Netherlands, and I must agree with you all. It's a shame that a historical vehicle is destroyed just for the fun. It is also what armydriver said, sadly it isn't going to be the last time.
