Kees,

Funny you should mention that. I found that on my WC-54 just tonight when getting it ready for a weekend event. It left a 3 inch circle in about 1 minute of running. It would have run the engine out of oil about halfway to the event.

Definately check for leaks and warm up prior to drive off.

I t happened to me during an event. On a rest stop near the end I noticed a larger than usual oil stain under the truck when I returned to it. I pulled the dipstick and there was only a drop at the end. The meter had been indicating correct pressure all the time, but the oil was almost gone, it had all leaked away through a tear in the oil pressure meter hose. I was very fortunate that the stop was at that time. The truck had to be towed home since there was no spare hose on hand.

Can someone explain to a CCKW rookie what louvered mudflaps is? Compared to "reglar" ones?

Btw, my GMC have Norwegian data plates too. I am thinking about replacing them with original american ones.'
