Hydrovac check valve

Post by rixtoys52 »

Does there need to be a check valve in the vacum line to the hydrovac? If one is in the system where should it be? Internal in the hydrovac or external in the line. I am pretty sure my set up does not have a check valve . Thanks for any info.

The check valve is at the engine manifold and yes you need it.

Dr Duece do you have a part number of one that will work. It does not need to be original as my Chevy has a 270 GMC in it already. Thanks for your help. :D

I think you can go to a good parts store and get one. I bought a newer hydrovac and it came with one

Thanks guys I so far found only a 90 degree one that looks to small to do the job. The metal one looks good in line is better. I will see what I can find this weekend again thanks for your help Dr Deuce and Retro-roco.
