Engine colour for a CCKW?

Hi all,
Want to respray the engine in my GMC after a rebuild, its a 44CCKW, What colour should it be??

thanks for the pics and info, l was told that they were grey as well as green?? but yours looks brilliant!,
now l just need somwhere here in oz who will mix up some engine paint for me and l will be right!,

I have found that the engine paint color used by British Leyland on the 4 cyl engines in the Austin/ MG/ Morris line of the 60's and 70s is darn close.
You should be able to get an auto parts/paint store to mix that shade for you as they would most likely have "chips/formula ' avail.

Your engine pics look great Fernando! it must have taken a few hours work to get it all looking that good.
The overall colour for all parts is listed as " olive drab flat" and has the Dupont number 1071-050. this is listed on page 18-11 in my TM 10-1563 maintenance manual.

I am also down in Australia ( Tasmania) and am currently fixing up my 1942 closed cab CCKW353A2.

Hi all i found the colour for my gmc engine from the lower clutch cover shield i had the paint matched and mixed in a local paint shop
