This NOS engine has set for a very long time..rebuilt 1962..removed the head to reveal the truth. It is cleaning up nice but that is only the begining..time and work will tell..

Are you going to recondition it? There is a good chance of the rust traveling thru the entire system and could cause failure in a short time.

definitely..tearing it down completely to examine..having the block and head fluxed just to be on the safe side there..I am having someone who is very experienced with MV's and engine rebuilds here doing the work...everything is freed up..the heads are very clean.

will keep you posted
