Has anyone experience about shipping?I want to buy 7,50x20" NDT tires from USA to Brazil.Shipping is airport to airport,right?What more payments have I to do through city to city?Thanks very much.

Hello Fernando,

I think normaly you pay shipping cost from sender to receiver one perticular amount of money. This are the total cost that is necessary
to ship the goods anywhere.

The only extra costst that you may expect are taxes.
I have shiped a few times things from US to The Netherlands. Every time i have payed import taxes from Dutch customs. Its a percentage of the total value of the order (in The Netherlands it is).

Fernando,

Unless you own the shipping company sending tires by air is very, very, expensive and in some cases will not be done as they are considered flammable cargo.

In my previous employment I use to handle supply chain shipping to and from the Netherlands and to and from Germany. The best way we shipped when it was less than a full container was using a bonded broker. The seller would strap the cargo to a shipping pallet and the broker would arrange for the goods to be put into a "mixed container load". It would then be placed on a ship and received by a bonded warehouse. The warehouse would customs clear the individual orders and arrange for shipping to or pickup by the buyer.

The selling business, if familiar with international sales, can set this all up for you. Expect the cost to be significant as you have brokerage fees, transportation of the goods to and from the Dock, Warehouse fees, custom fees, bribes, and the fee for the actual shipping.

My experience was shipping containers full and partial from Amsterdam to several points in the US. It would be cheaper for me to have a Polish trucking company move the goods from the Black Forest of Germany to Amsterdam and then ship to the US then to use a German port. It was a nightmare both on the my side and the Dutch Company parent side.

I put this all to bed by hiring UPS Logistics. They had a system in place, streamlined the crazy customs paperwork, got the goods to me 3 times faster at 25% of the cost. I would suggest them if you have questions. If you own your own business in Brazil call and ask to have the Local UPS account manager give you the information.
