Denny,

Wood bodied brackets are being repro'd and look exactly as the originals.

Steel body brackets are NLA and are very difficult to find. They are stamped steel with bends for reenforcement. Again they are very, very difficult to find.

It is too bad that HMV parts suppliers with stamping equipment, such as Midwest Military, (hint..hint... ) don't repro these. I would imagine there is a minor demand. I am up for 2 sets.

Good luck in your quest.

Just stay out of my way...LOL

Below is a picture of an NOS that I found years ago and installed.

Bill,
Thanks for your candor, If I find two sets I'll save a set for you. I guess I'll do what everybody else does and bend some steel and drill some holes. Thanks

No one yet. I was not looking forward to hand making them. Do you have someone in mind?

Tom Campbell on the G503 site used an original I had as a pattern and made some repops. They look great.

He can be contacted through the "G" or I have an old email address I can supply by PM.

I talked with Tom He did reproduce the WOODEN trailer brackets and they do look nice. I believer he told me $35.00 plus shipping per pair. Someone might send him a picture of a STEEL trailer bracker and see if he can do anything with that one.

There is a seller parting out a steel Ben Hur on ebay right now. Maybe he'd sell just the taillight brackets...

Hmmm,

Must have been you that snagged it! I contacted the seller, and asked about them. He said one sold, but still had one. He closed the second auction, messaged me (through ebay) to tell me that he was re-listing it. Of course his message was in the wee hours of the morning, and I didn't see it, apparently after you did!

I hope you put it to good use! I just wanted one to draw up plans, with the idea of having some made.

I don't even own a Ben Hur... yet.
