Parts needed

I have a reasonable complete Ben Hur Trailer that went through a French rebuild in 1965. They upgraded the rear lights so now I need a set of rear light brackets. The trailer's data plates were also removed. Are the Data plates available? I am also looking for the spare tire bracket that is mounted underneath the trailer. Anyone have any of these parts available?

Hi,
There are plans to build the trailer tire rack on the site here. Look at the trailers tab and check out the information there.
Is your trailer wood body or all steel construction? I think the light brackets are different.

Mine is steel. The brackets look a lot like the Dodge taillight brackets. I also have later french chains so I am looking for a correct set. Thanks for the info. I did pull the plans Roy Hamilton did and will try to locate a fabricator to make me one.

I too would be interested for a source of trailer light brackets for a ben hur, original repo is fine with me. Does anyone know of a source?

I've asked Midwest Military if they would reproduce them. They're OK but they need a pattern. They are in Prior Lake, Minnesota, Anyone could send them one of those brackets as a pattern?

I will contact Midwest and send them one of mine. I will not need it for the winter...
It is new and undamaged.

When they are available would you post it to me so I can purchase a pair. I made two but I would not want them to be looked at real close. (grin)
