Dataplates on my M-10

Post by Bill_Wolf »

Rob,

I believe you said you wanted to see M-10 Data plates.

These are not for sale...

I have a different load plate on my other M-10 which I will get off and shoot pictures of.

The load plates appear to be made of lead.

M-10 ammo trailer Black out light switch box

Post by Tim Sutter »

Hi does any one have the Black out light switching box, or the switch, and I am also in need of the cast iron ring that you pull to get the lunette to swivel. Can any one help? Thanks Tim :D

Thanks again Bill

Thanks again Bill, those are the best things as far as research materials is concerned that I could hope for. I may be able to guess what size they are from the things around them and on my halftrack most things were close to some hole inch measurement (5" 5 1/2" 6" 6 1/2" etc.). But am I dreaming to hope someone may have one of these for sale? Thanks Tim

Tim....

The dimensions of the box are on the webpage

http://www.cckw.org/m10_technical.htm

The large hole is for the standard trailer plug female fitting used in WWII. The small hole is the diameter of the switch.

I will see if I can get the latch handle off my M-10 trailer #2. If I can you can use it as a template....

Wow I must be blind

Post by Tim Sutter »

Were the yellow dimensions there all along? I can't believe I missed that, I must be blind. 8) Thanks again Bill If I could borrow the cast ring lunette release thing I would be very grateful. I would make a silicon mold and pour a plastic one then I have to increase it dimensionally 5% so when the molten metal cools the new one will be the same size. Thanks Tim :)

The one that I restored first came with Military highway tires. I have left those on the trailer...for now.

The other 2 had bastard replacement tires on them.

I have a set of 900/20 NDT's on Combat rims that are awaiting painting for trailer #2.

I know both were used. My opinion is that the NDT's look more "Combatish"
