I finished the metal work and am starting the wood replacement on a Hobbs built 1 ton trailer. I know the bolts are not a normal round head "Carriage" bolt.
The correct hardware is a "step" bolt which has a shallow head and a larger diameter than common carriage bolt heads. The local "Fastenall" store can order the shorter step bolts but no luck with the longer lengths. Does anyone have a souce for "step" bolts for wood body restoration?
