Is this lock the one illustrated in the manual that looks like a padlock on a chain?

Uh,uh. (It took me 30 years to find a picture) No surplus truck dealer of the 40s tru 90s, would waste shelf space for them, as they were not a revenue producer. Not many WWII GIs that drove SWB CCKWs were exposed to them. It was just like the key type Ignition Switches that Jeeps, and other WWII Combat Vehicles had that were replaced, they sort of disappeared. I did have a handful of CCKW and GPW Key Type (H-700) ignition switches until recently, they made my wallet giggle. The Repros do not come even close to originals, those that are available are generic and not close to being authentic. Original Keyed WWII Ignition Switches will give the owner bragging rites. My CCKW has one, I need one more for a good client.

This is the Loch Ness Monster of CCKW parts, the photo I have will do little to ID it. It is doubtful that any made it overseas during WWII as they obsolete by time war started and were turned in. I have seen one in past 50 years, and did not need it then. 99.99% the original old time parts dealers that knew WWII trucks are gone now, there are few left with hands on experience from WWII days.
It is listed in the TM-10 and SNLs-no pics.

Might even let my NOS GPW cosmoline coated Exhaust Manifold go, if enough locks show up.
I have some of the Rarest NOS Military Jeep Parts and NOS Early CJ2 Sheet Metal and Carburetors in existance after 60 years in the hobby and business.
The time has come to reap the harvest.
