1944 Clark-air CA-1. Sheet metal in excellent shape. Rolls good. Motor stuck. Had to save it from the scrap man. Serial CA-1441687 built March 25, 1944

Love the seat!

Pictures below are from the pickup site at Bubba's house. Yes he is selling the motorhome if anyone is interested.

Very nice Bill.........BUT.......what did "Honey" say when you showed up with it ?.....or did you just stash it "amongst "the other gems  before she came home ?

There's something to be said for a "full tracked" vehicle :D

Cheers
John

Bill,

You must stop this madness! I am certain that you drag this stuff home just to spur the rest of us to go forth and spend the rent money on similar items.

A really good find. I'll admit that she's no Cat D-7 but it is sure alot easier to trailer. The little ones are harder to operate than a "real" full size Cat.

I think you need to come up with a story about that "bullet" hole in the data plate. Something like Old Engineer Corporal Wolf seeing a German sniper risked his own life and roared along side General Patton just as the sniper fired, striking the tractor and saving the Generals life. "It must be true, there is the bullet hole in the data plate".

I hope you discarded the car seat before you unloaded the tractor in your yard.

I have to go E Bay motors shopping now, just to keep up.

Later

I'm thinkin' you're gonna have to sell me the M5 just to make room in the yard for this one.
At least you can use it to "enlarge " the storage area

It does not look like it was worked hard so I would imagine that it has been in private hands most of its life. Under the yellow there is fire engine red and then OD.

I have seen pictures of a CA=1 used by an Fire Department on Cape Cod. This might have had the same employ. I am going to pressure wash it this weekend to look for any lettering.

and....

John,

In a public forum it would be improper for me to repeat what she said.

Welcome to the Airborne Dozer club! :)

On the + side: As you know from mine, they fit quite nicely in a SL trailer

On the - side: you REALLY appreciate a 302 then: 11,000 CCKW, 9,400 CA1 and SL trailer
