That is a very interesting photo. I wish it was larger so I could see the mounts. Can you post where you found it ? Maybe I could see it in full size.
Thanks

I have a gas can on one flap and a water can on the other. I had the gas can on the grivers step and from vibration and bad roads, it broke the step hanger.

hey guys,
sorry but l cant remember where l saw that photo from, l should have saved it! sounds like a good idea doc, 1 water and 1 fuel on the back mud gaurds rather than the steps, hope you are all well and enjoying your gmc's, mine is nearly a goer...between work and my part time army duties who has the time!! but l should have it up and running by march for a 6 hour drive up to a place called corowa where we are having a "year of the 6x6" themed gathering, should be a few gmc's turning up to that!!,
all the best,
gino.

Hi Gine

Thanks for posting the pics. I am putting cans on my rear mudguards on my 352 and will be using them for modern lights and number plates. Makes it nice and easy to take them off when not needed. A simple plug and socket, or even just turn the Jerry can round to hide the modern bits.

Hi Gino

another good thing is you can use a "later model" Jerry can and hide the markings with whatever is bolted on
Save the good cans for display :D

Now that's a great idea. My truck has modern rear/brake/blinker lights installed at the mud flaps. All I need to do is to take two modern jerrycans, cut holes in one side of them and place them over the rear lights when driving in a parade or on display. :D

Chris
