I'm wanting to put a couple of the repro Garands in the rifle carriers on the old girl( I never have gotten around to naming my CCKW). I've seen the ones advertised by Kevin Kronlund. Does anyone have any experience with them? Realism, quality etc. Is there a better one available? Thanks for any info. Hammerhead

Before you invest in a resin Garand, some of which are really good looking , consider a real WWII rifle for about the same cost. Look at my response to the 1917 question on this strain and consider a 1903A3 Springfield. looks great, is a real WWII rifle, action functions and just about the same price as the resin M1.

Hi Armydriver!
It's good to see you posting again! :D Since I originally posted this, I actualy did go with real rifles. They are two Garands and do look great! Once again, good to see you on here again!

In the past 6 months I have restored 3 1903A3 rifles, one to a 1903A4 configuration and 2 1903 rifles, one manufactured in 1910 used in both WWI and WWii. i have a Garand in the rifle rack on my M38 but the rifle that brings the most attention at a show is the 1903A4 sniper rifle. I took an 03A3, removed the front and rear sight, purchased a replica WWII mount and scope, an original turned down bolt and suddenly I had a sniper rifle.
It is amazing how much rifles bring attention to your truck in a display. Not so much in a parade.
