M2HB Dummy Guns

Post by Bill_Wolf »

I received an email from Steve Workman with a picture of his latest creations.

This Dummy M2HB is the perfect gun for HMV display. It is a gun completely fabricated by Steve and should even pass the "Massachusetts" test.

For information Steve can be contacted at: sgworkman@comcast.net

I have ordered one.

Those look pretty good, they are obviously not real..... But then I'm also armorer qualified. But to the average person they look real enought to make them nervous. As John..... He know's.
What are they made of?
I'll have to pick one up for my CCKW.

As Colin implies.... next to an original or one assembled from real/GI parts these do not look real but ...to most viewers they all assume them to be real.
I usually keep the cover on the gun ,even in parades, but at the insistance of the Veterens at last years parade I removed the cover, and during the many pauses along the parade route I was approched several times with the question " is it legal for you to have one of those" :?...to the average citizen it's very real.

Steve took my IRAC and copied it to the most minute detail and mass produced them on a CNC automated punch press and had them powder coated. They do look quite nice.

He made two 'special' ones, one for him and one for me with real worn out barrels so that we could add sim fire electronics and gas to them. Unfortunately, they were so far out of balance that they were useless. :(

He also has girly .30 cal air cooled units :? of high quality like his manly .50's :D
