The Brittish were not known for their aesthetics on WWII trailers. Too bad Bart Vanderveen was not here to elaborate. He was my first contact in England in the late 60s, along with a gentleman on the Isle of Jersey.

No, I am having a Senior Moment. He has early Jeeps.
Clifford Lake is his name. From Stockton-On-Tees, Teeside. He is a leading WWII Jeep expert now. He owns a Bantam, GP and Willys Jeeps. The person on Jersey is V. Harris, he bought one of the last production M-201 Jeeps, it was built in 1969 or 1970.

I ran into him when I was attempting to buy a NOS M-201 Hotchkiss in the late 60s. It could be done back them.
As a result, I obtained an account with SOFIA and imported new Hotchkiss bodies and parts for a couple years.

The new Hotchkiss Jeep Body cost me roughly $600.00 worth of French Francs in the early 70s, I bought a few. Still have one, they are superior to those sweatshop made in the mud bodies that come from the Phillipines. Everything from WWII fits perfectly on the Hotchlkss body. All threaded holes are USS and SAE.
The amateur experts that have been screwed with those Phillipine  bodies will never admit it tho. Hotchkiss had very minor changes that really were no big thing. One did not have to bend and crimp US made fenders, seats and windshields yo make them match up.
