CCKW 5 speed manual transmission ?

Area for Discussion of non-original and non-Theater Modifications to the GM family of WWII trucks. This would include engine, transmission, and driveline swaps, etc.

CCKW 5 speed manual transmission ?

Post by firefoxm54a2 »

I have an XM211 with a CCKW 5speed manual transmission in it. The previous owner took out the
automatic transmission and put this in with a PTO because they put an M108 crane in the bed and needed
something to drive the pump. I know absolutely nothing about this transmission. I don't even know what the shift pattern is or whether it needs to be double shifted or not. Can someone tell me what the TM is for this
transmission and give me some pointers on shift pattern and procedure.
Thank you very much for any help!!!

I was finally able to get back under the truck and start cleaning stuff up.
I am partially disabled, so things don't go as quickly as I would like.
This is the data off the fwd end of the transmission.

I will try to post pics and also remove more crud so I can get more data.
Thanks for all the support!
Note: info is on far right of pic.
